Welcome to the RRPictureArchives.NET contributor site of Thom Horvath.
The photographs seen here are ones I took while railfanning the Lehigh Line starting back in late 1980s' when it was Conrail's freight trains running over these steel ribbons. The days of CR are history as Norfolk Southern's intermodals and general merchandise trains have taken over the present-day job of carrying the freight. Over the years changes have also occurred along this line. Around 1998 Pattenburg Tunnel went from being a two-track tunnel to one track to accomodate the double-stack traffic. A new passing siding was built between MP 51 (Flemington Jct) and MP 53 (Stanton Station) in 2005. With increased freight traffic, one can only speculate what other changes will take place. Hopefully, I will be there to record them. Thanks for taking your time to visit this site. I hope you enjoy my photographs...
